The Key To Marketing New Ideas!

Imagine tossing a pebble into a crystal clear pond on a still day, & watching the ripples make their way to the shore. A tiny cause has a massive effect.

But on a windswept stormy day? You could hurl the largest boulder into the same pool, and the effect would be felt for no more than a few feet.

So it is with marketing new ideas.

Your prospects are in a trance that is like a still pool of awareness. They are in an Im worried about money?trance. They are in an I wish I could finally find that somebody special?trance. They are in an Im sick of my dead end job?trance, & so on.

If you enter that trance with your words, your prospects will follow you. They will accept your suggestions. They will give those suggestions power, like the pebble that makes its presence felt on the shore, because receiving your message is effortless.

On the other hand, any striving on the part of your prospect to maintain their attention on your message, because it fails to harmonize with their trance, & no power will be granted.

Belief Is All-Powerful!?/p>

To enter the buyers trance, begin your sales message by showing where your position agrees with their accepted beliefs.

As you move forward, make a logical connection between that which is accepted, & another conclusion that is a step closer to the new conclusion you wish to promote.

This act of mental agreement creates momentum.

For example, lets say your target market believes that Guaranteed Investment Certificates are the best way to invest for their retirement. Are they likely to listen to you if you boldly proclaim the superiority of Mutual Funds?

But would they give you some attention if you began with, Would you be interested in more of the kind of money growth youve enjoyed through Guaranteed Investment Certificates??/p>

And then, If there were a low risk strategy for using GICs, together with Mutual Funds to increase your returns by 53% or more, would you want to find out about it??/p>

And then, Give me just 15 minutes, & Ill show you the failsafe secret to an earlier retirement!?/p>

By establishing empathy in your sales message, you enter the trance. And you can begin marketing new ideas.

Each successive point or question should do three things.

1) Echo accepted belief.

2) Introduce a new element that when logically combined with the previous conclusion, creates a new hypothesis.

3) Raise the level of commitment to the new idea.

You begin pursuing small yes responses, & gradually grow those agreements into bigger YES responses, until your final call to action.

Do you see how this works?

Use questions, statements, & logic that get your prospect thinking YES & OK!

Why Does It Work?

To be human, is to have unlimited freedom of choice. We are able to consciously decide our response to every stimulus. This is our god given gift.

However, we forget this. Instead, we are a bundle of conditioned responses. We hypnotize ourselves into believing that external circumstances give rise to our thoughts.

For instance, if I were to say to you that you are stupid, you would probably become angry. You would think I was a jerk for saying so. That is a choice you make.

You could just as easily make a choice to ignore my remark. You could make any choice you wish. You could even decide to think that I am a jealous fool, & feel sorry for me. The choice is all yours.

On the other hand, if I were to say to you that you are brilliant, you would no doubt feel pleased with yourself. Again, this is a choice. You could just as easily decide to pay no attention to my opinion.

But you forget you are making a choice. You automatically become angry or flattered, depending on the stimulus. You are in a trance of your own making.

To be human, is to be filled with such conditioning.

When we accept a logical conclusion that contains our own beliefs, we are conditioned to accept another one, & then another. Until without even realizing it, we have before long accepted a new belief that we would not have accepted, had it been forced on us in the first place.

Such is the judo of persuasion, & marketing new ideas.

Fish In A Barrel Not The Ocean

The phrase fish in a barrel not the ocean is often bandied about in business circles but very few stop to think about it. In an effort to clarify what this should mean to your marketing effort, here is an explanation.

In the very basic sense, fishing in the ocean means reaching some prospects in a loosely defined area. Here’s an example: You own a heating and air conditioning company and decide to run a TV commercial. Despite the fact you supposedly reach the right audience about 5% of the viewers are interested in what you’re selling. Doing the quick math here, that means 95% don’t pay any attention. Now you’re playing the name recognition, educate the consumer game. Your sales rep probably justified your big cash outlay by using those exact terms. You are fishing in the ocean. Will you catch some new prospects? Yes. Is it a good use of your ad dollars? No!

Fishing in a barrel means reaching the greatest number of prospects in a tight, targeted area. For instance, the HVAC company in the above example, uses ad dollars for an online campaign sending an offer-filled, content rich e-newsletter to prospects who’ve asked for it, placing keyword-targeted pay per click ads, and sending emails to yet another opt-in list of subscribers. Hey, these prospects are already interested in what you sell. They just have to be convinced to do business with you. Will you catch more new prospects this way? Yes! Is this a better use of ad dollars? Yes!

In a crowded advertising marketplace where everyone is clamoring for attention, you have to be different. You can’t afford to do things the same old way anymore. A yellow pages listing, some broadcast commercials and ads in the paper just don’t cut it. You have to go cyber and your message has to be viral.

Find the right bait, and start fishing in a barrel. Watch and see how many new prospects you will have on the hook.

WAHM Business - Your Advertising Money

Be a wise investor in your business!

Do you have an advertising budget? How much of your money is set aside to pay for advertising? Depending on your financial situation, you may have very little money to use to promote your business online. There are several ways to sort through information to make a wise decision about where you will spend your money on when it comes to advertising online.

You have found a website online that offers advertising. Its $5 a week to put your button or text ad on their front page sounds low enough, well, actually that $20 a month.

This is the point where you stop.

Take a breath.

Plan your next step.

Before you go any further in entertaining thoughts on advertising on that website, you have some homework to do!

Website Traffic

Go to Alexa.com. Although there is controversy about how accurate Alexa’s ratings are, remember that it does give you a picture of the traffic to the site you are wondering about investing money in to promote your business.

Alexa uses “hits” identified through traffic monitors, its toolbar on other people’s sites and Google information to give a rating.

Key in the site you want to know more about then click on “site info” and you will know whether it’s a website with solid traffic or not.

Take the rating with a grain of salt. The quality of hits is more important than the number but there are website’s that offer to place your button or advertisement for a fee that are not generating traffic and have a low Google page rank.

Search Engine Traffic

Go to Google.com then Yahoo.com, MSN.com to do some keyword searches associated with the website you are considering.

Do several searches with your key words for your products, services, different aspects of your business then add parts of the website under consideration to see if search engines will direct any traffic to that site and eventually your ad.

Your niche market

Know what types of people you want to respond to your ad or click on your button.

Do you want buyers, one time buyers or develop a customer base. Look again at the site to see who you believe the visitors are and what they will be looking for online. Do you offer what they are looking for?

WAHM Sites versus specific niche markets

WAHM Sites are a great place to market if you provide services work at home moms need to build their business. If you offer a work at home opportunity, then WAHM sites are a good place to start once you’ve determined that there is adequate traffic.

BUT and this is a big BUT!

If you want to make sales for products that are NOT specific to work at home moms. You need to turn your focus on sites that have women looking for your product. To sell children’s books…look for family and parenting sites instead of a work at home site.

Why?

With the right web site that your target market visits, your advertising efforts have a greater chance of reaching parents and women that may have more disposable income and they are searching for resources, gifts for their children.

To generate traffic to your site for future sales and build a customer base you need to focus beyond work at home sites to sell your products…go where your market is!

Your advertising dollars are better spent reaching a broader audience whether its gift shops, parenting and women’s sites or even newsletters.

Do the math.

Before you pay for advertising whether it’s on a website or ezine. Know the website traffic or e-zone circulation, both the “who” of visitors and the “how many.”

Return on investment (ROI) is a gamble with advertising.

Go to any website then visualize your own site.

Look at the buttons, text ads, articles, the entire front page. Do you click on everything you see? No, you have your own agenda when you visit a website. You venture into a site using your own sense of direction based on what you are looking to find.

The same holds true for every visitor. If your ad is one of 5 you have a better chance of a click than if your ad is one of 15. Then again, if your button is on a site where few of the visitors are looking for what you offer then your chances success are out of reach.

If your button ad rotates through many different pages on different days, your ad is seen only by the people that click onto that specific page.

Paying for advertising is a matter of numbers and improving your odds of getting your business name out there on the internet where you want it.

Finally, make sure you take advantage of free ads in newsletters and ezines. I offer them and other ezine subscribers do too. I send in my ad just like everyone else because as a target, ezines can offer such a broad audience.

Many newsletter publishers belong to co-ops which mean you can “potentially” reach over a million readers.

Again, basic math tells me that if my text ad goes out to 1 million readers and only 5-10 % respond to my ad that’s still a solid return on my investment.

Spend your money wisely. Learn how to find the information you need to be informed before you invest your advertising money online. Ask questions and check the facts.

Never forget your business goals and your market! If you invest poorly, take it as a learning experience and move onward, upward.

This is your business! You own it and you build it. Persistence and being open to learning both the good and the bad about online business are the keys to your success!

Follow These 6 Cues to a Successful Invitation Printing

Invitations can be as simple as a postcard or as elaborate and intricate through greeting cards. No matter which print medium you wish to choose, any important celebration goes hand in hand with a charming and engaging invitation.

Invitation printing can be the most finicky errand when planning for your party, be it baby showers, engagement parties, anniversaries or birthdays. Why do we fuss so much about the invitations is not as complex and daunting to comprehend.

Invitations serve not only as a formal request. It is an observed tradition that indicates the significance of the recipients attendance. It communicates this sentiment that is important in dealing with personal affairs.

Other than this, it helps build up the theme of the event or of the gathering. It can aptly motivate and excite the recipient just by hinting him or her just enough as to what to expect in the event.

Let your style flourish and effectively announce your events through invitations. Invitations for such gatherings are supposed to be a cinch to make since may designs are available online. There are various templates to guide you through the designs available for any particular gathering. Even though there are more than adequate themes to give you ideas, the possibilities in itself can be overwhelming.

What does one have to prioritize in invitation printing in order to create memorable invites? Here are some of the basic things you should take into consideration when designing and printing your invitations. Some of which can even effortlessly embellish the look of your invitations.

Professional printers give you convenience when printing bulk invitations. They even lend their expertise to give you solutions for your printing needs. Some even have mailing services to get your invitations where and when you want them delivered.

And speaking of bulk invitations, it is always better to order in a large round sum that will allow you to have extra invitations. Youll never know when you might have forgotten a friend from the list or made a new friend just before the big celebration.

Stationery is a useful item you can use to complement your invitations. It is especially handy when you do not want to overload your invitation with details. You can let your invitation cards do the talking about the party and fill it with enticing texts and images. The stationery can be a useful space where you can add a personal message to you recipient. Also, the stationery can hold the information on contact details, illustration on maps, what to bring or what to wear.

The Font of the Matter is that texts are made to be read. Even though fonts can exquisitely add to the look of your design, make sure that your recipient can easily read them. Make sure too that your fonts would be able to print legibly. When in doubt, it doesnt hurt to ask your printer if it is possible to work with your font and come up with a sharp, readable print.

Colors can greatly affect the overall feel of your invitation. Such comes in handy for particular occasions and seasons, but not be limited to it. Baby showers are not just pastel pinks and baby blues. Working on the pastel colors, why not use soft yellows and greens for a change?

Other than adding to the theme of your invitation card, color is another practical factor for achieving an effective design. The colors of your images should be carefully balanced with the text if you are overlaying your font against your graphics. The colors of your fonts can get lost and overwhelmed by the strength of your images colors or the sheer lack of it.

Its a Wrap and sometimes too a band or a ribbon which can add some flair to your invitations without costly customizations. A simple lace can add a little flamboyance to your invitation without going overboard.

How To Tame The Buying Beast Inside Your Customer

What if you can understand and control your customers mind? What if you can influence, persuade and motivate your customers to buy from you? Well, Im not talking about a magic trick or lay down a lesson of motivation. Its about understanding the different reactions made by the human mind in various situations. Im going to briefly discuss 3 key aspects of psychological secrets that you can apply in your promotion efforts for a certain increase in customer response. They are,

1. Curiosity
2. Because / Reason Why
3. Greed

Curiosity

What is it? Curiosity can be defined as the desire to know the unexplored?in simple terms. People want to know things that many others dont know. They like to discover the secrets?that only some people know. The desire to know is a compelling force in marketing, so we have:

* Secrets of the Diet Industry Uncovered
* What Time Share Companies Don’t Want You To Know
* Msteries of A Youthful Appearance Revealed
* The Hidden Keys of Car Buying

People dont want

* How to Diet Successfully or
* A Guide to Buying Cars

for example. First set of titles surely outshines the second set of titles because the former takes advantage of curiosity. You must design your advertising in a way that arouses curiosity. Getting to see the powerful of curiosity? (When compared the two sets above)

Because / Reason Why

Telling people a valid reason for your action is another great influencer in human behavior. People will trust you if you can offer a reason for what you are doing. Say you offer a 50% discount on your digital cameras for the last 10 days in this month. People are too smart today and start to think its probably because you want to get rid of your defective products or because its 2 days before the expiry date (in case of food items). Wouldnt you and I think the same way when we see a similar message?

Give them a true believable reason. For example, lets say you have a slow time of the year and you want to increase your business during this period. Make a special, limited time offer. Offer to throw in an extra free bonus or a special discount simply because it’s your “slow time” and you need to pay your staff anyway.

Dont you think people will believe it? If you can give a solid reason for a particular action, people will have no doubts about what you say - there is simply very little room for doubt.

Greed

People are greedy. I’m not talking about food but ‘greedy’ in a marketing perspective. Everybody feels from whats in it for me?syndrome. They really want to know how your product can benefit them. Notice that, the “customer’s will buy benefits and not products”. Confused? You’ll see what I mean in a minute.

Analyze the following list of benefits written about a digital camera.

* Can store over 200 photos
* Supports every color you can see
* Manual included so you can start even if you have no previous experience

This will certainly open the eyes of a person who has an idea of bu’ying a camera one day. This is in complete contrast to the following, where the ‘product’ is described.

* Has a memory of 6000k
* Supports 16-bit colors
* 60-page manual included

Customers don’t want a memory of 6000k, but they want to store 200 photos. Get it? You must clearly tell the customer how will they benefit by bu’ying your produc’t. You can then describe the prod’uct itself, when they are looking for more information.

To make this point clearer, understand that,

“Customer’s will bu’y benefits and ‘not’ the features.”

Okay.. Whats the difference between features and benefits? Features describe the product itself - what it has. Benefits describe the advantages a customer gets by bu’ying the product. The first list above is a benefits list and the second is a features list.

Benefits will drive customers to explore more information about the product. This is when you should give them the features and describe the product itself. To summarize, get customers into looking for more info by telling them the benefits and then describe the prod’uct. This will assure the best results.

I laid out just 3 powerful tactics here. There are many more ‘explored’ and ‘unexplored’ secrets, and hope you can discover a few too. Please let me know if you do. I hope this information was helpful to you and wish you good luck and success in your future mark’eting efforts.

The Ultimate, "Must-Have" Home-Based Business for YOU

The Ultimate, Must-Have?Home-Based Business for YOU a
Underemployed, Unemployed, or Industrial Age Individual

Allow me to educate you on the issue of job security and
paint you a picture of what the aftermath can be if you
remain comfortable at your regular job. Job security is an
old-fashioned term that claims the longer an employee
worked for a particular company, the more precious that
person became. The employee was once valuable to the
company because they graduated from college, got a degree,
and/or had determination for hard labor.

In the past, it
was all right to become comfortable with your position. In
todays society, being comfortable is the wrong thing to do
and actually, its a trap. This trap is the reason why
people with college degrees are without jobs and the good
workers are always the first ones released from a
professional setting. I am a Housekeeper for the Home at
Hearthstone, a nursing home in Cincinnati, Ohio. I work
from 7 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. for $8.40 per hour. The wages that
I make alone, tells you that I am working at a dead-end job
and receiving paychecks that dont reflect a thorough
performance. I am an underemployed 19 year old-male who
attends college and makes good grades. Graduating from
college might raise my income level slightly, but it will
not secure me a job.

I am among millions of individuals who
like their jobs and work very hard at their occupations. I
am also among many Americans who believe that in order to
maintain my job; I must show up to work everyday on time,
listen to my supervisor and do a complete and thorough job.
These three things combined will not keep you your job. If
you continue to hold that belief, youll find yourself in
debt, have bad credit, and lose your house and other
financial obscurities. Losing what you have worked hard for
all your life is not a great feeling! What I am about to
tell you is very important and will save you time or
otherwise, reality will slap you in the face! Job Security
has departed from this world permanently.

Knowing that job
security is dead, what can YOU do to create a substantial
income? YOU need to do two things:

First, decide that you
want to work for yourself. Second, take the initiative to
start your own business. Either you can work for someone
else or you can work for yourself.

The second choice is
better than the first one. At 16, I thought that I can do
whatever I want on the job as long is my work is done. In
other words, I like to do things my way. I continue to feel
like that today in the workforce. When working for a
corporate employer, you must follow job policy at all
times. Conflict will arise when your rules dont match
policy rules and youre in jeopardy of losing your quicker
than you expected. If you hold similar beliefs such as
mine, then a home-based business if for YOU, which leads to
the biggest hurdle of the two steps, taking the initiative.

If you dont take the initiative to start your own
business, then youre making a foolish decision. Millions
of people are without jobs or working for awful wages. This
is due to a bad economy. The government will continue to
show their lack of sympathy by taking many taxes out of the
checks of lower and middle class citizens, while the rich
continue to get tax breaks. (There is a solution to that
problem if you click on the link in the resource box and
click on the Taxwayz link inside my website.) On August 25,
2004, I joined the Moneywayz program because my goal is to
make more money with a home-based business within a few
months than I make with my regular job in an entire year.
Within minutes of reading the brochure, I decided to put my
skepticism to the side and take a chance because if you do
not take chances, your income will become stagnant and you
will still be a subordinate to your supervisor. Can you
afford to live without money?

If you plan to start a
home-based business, but dont have an idea on exactly what
you want to do, then the following may be the most
important. Would you like to become a part of a business
that provides you with power-packed tools to become a
business success on the Internet? Would you like to join a
business who believes, The Greatest Music Is Money? Would
you like to end financial depression? If this is correct,
then read on further to the resource box. Educate yourself
and develop your skills so you can be a demand for
financial success!

Paul Wilson II, a second-year college student, business
owner will take you by the hand and paint YOU a picture of
the exact results achieved with the Moneywayz program!

profitable businesses, starting today:

Small Cards, Big Ideas: Alternative Uses for Business Cards

Aggressive business card marketing isn’t about handing your business cards out to everyone you see.

The card itself must have a new use, an innovative design, or something other than the usual contact information printed on it. To make your little card stand out, try these other ideas.

Print something other than a business card on biz card-sized cardstock.

You may have seen loyalty cards for “buy 10 get one free” offers; why not print one of your own? Print a frequent buyer card or other promotional offer on your card. The whole card can be a coupon for a free consultation, a discount, or a free gift with purchase. Remember include an expiration date on them! Then hand them out to all your customers.

Print a short survey on a card.

Offer an incentive for people to return the card to you with the survey answered–they can get a free gift or a discount just for answering a few simple questions. Then give them a new card with your contact information on it.

Other things you might print on this size cardstock include:

Hangtags
Nametags
Tickets to an event; or
Tiny greeting cards you might attach to a gift basket or other gift.

It’s always nice to handwrite a personal note when using them as greeting cards. A quick “thank you” or “best wishes” goes a long way. Or, announce a special event and enclose the cards with all your outgoing correspondence.

Make your business card a referral card for your organization or club.

That will make it easy to invite a prospect to your next meeting or to introduce the organization to them. On the front, print a form to fill in the date, time and location. On the back, include a brief overview of the club. Let members hand them out to potential recruits.

Turn them into appointment cards.

On one side, you can print your name, address, phone, fax and email plus your business name and logo. On the other side, leave room to fill in the date and time of your customer’s next appointment. They will keep it in their wallet or planner and always have your information at their fingertips. You could also print a map of your location on the back or directions on how to reach your store or office.

Whatever you choose to do, remember that a little card can have a big impact on your marketing if you employ some creativity.

Do your business cards work as hard as you do to gain new contacts? If not, you need cards that will grab attention and spur curiousity.

Choose from thousands of free business card templates and have professional cards delivered to your doorstep in days.

Save Big Money on Your Business Cards

Less than one generation ago, if you needed a box of full color business cards you would have contacted your local graphic arts printing company, paid for expensive design and set up costs, and received your ordered cards one or two weeks later. If you wanted your order completed quicker, you paid extra for that service too. Thanks to the internet, ordering business cards has gotten a lot easiera lot cheaper too! You can save money on your next order of business cards; please read on for some tips to help bring big savings to you!

Shop Online. Why go to your local print shop when several of the big online sellers of business cards can do the same job for less and faster too? There are four or five companies who are literally mopping up the business card industry by selling high quality cards right online and at rock bottom prices.

Order Big. The larger your order, the more you save. Customarily, many people only order 250-500 business cards when placing an order. When you order 1000, 2000, or more business cards your cost per card will drop dramatically. An especially smart decision on your part if you regularly attend conventions and are distributing your business cards to everyone.

Use In House Styles. If you arent particular on the graphics, the big business card suppliers have a wide and varying selection of ready made styles for your choosing. Save a bundle on graphic artist charges by incorporating their styles into your new cards.

Shop the Specials. In addition to business cards, many online retailers also sell matching business card magnets, envelopes, letterhead, note paper, and more. Place all of your printing orders with a trusted online retailer to receive the best deals and maximum savings.

Yes, your local printing company now has some stiff competition in the form of several top notch online retailers. Your choices for high quality business cards have never been better, resulting in great savings and a terrific product for you!

3 Elements To A Deal-Sealing Classified Ad

Have you ever wondered why your perfectly fine classified ad fails to attract the attention you desire? There should be dozens-no, hundreds-of perspective buyers swamping your e-mail inbox with offers. After all, you are offering a mint baseball card, a vintage coat, pristine used car, those wholesale-priced sporting goods, and whatever other attractive items are in your inventory. Instead, you only have a slow trickle of questions, a handful of sales. What gives? More than likely, your sales are slow because you have not mastered the three techniques of writing a classic classified ad.

Of course, give yourself credit for recognizing one important facet of today’s selling world. You decided to sell your stuff at an online classified site. As anybody in the business knows, online classified ads get you more privacy, a broader selection of buyers, and a wealth of tools to help you keep tabs on your transactions. When compared to a newspaper, cyberspace is also a wee bit more spacious. There are billions of pages on the Web, and only a few dozen in your typical neighborhood rag. For you, that means a lot more space for your ad to say the least.

With that space, however, comes great responsibility-and great potential. The extra room gives you the freedom to include as much product description and sale copy as you want. You can’t just slap together a whole bunch of information, though. You need to use the three special ad writing techniques that will attract buyers and seal the deal: attention, interest, and action.

Attention. Make sure the buyer stops at your ad instead of the thousands upon thousands of others out there in cyberspace. Your ad’s title is the first lure to grab his or her attention, and the first component of a catchy title is the item’s best feature, whether it’s the price, the item’s rarity, or its popularity. Next, be sure the title includes keywords or other synonyms for your item that a buyer might use in a search. For instance, a buyer could search for “automobile” instead of “car,” “pullover” instead of “sweater.”

Interest. Once you have the buyer’s attention, hook them with details. There is a direct relationship between the amount of information you provide and the number of sales you’ll make. So describe the item as completely as possible-size, color, material, designer, model-and provide a clear, digital photo to finish the job where your words leave off. Even offer your prospective customer the item’s history if possible.

Also, try to list as many possible benefits that your sales item could offer the buyer. Come up with some that the buyer probably wouldn’t think of on his or her own. And zone in on specific benefits. Use what you already know about your target. For instance, if you were selling a car, you know that whoever is looking at your ad is in need of a vehicle. If your car is compact, perhaps the buyer is in search of great gas mileage. Or perhaps it’s power he or she wants if your car is a sports model.

Action. Finish your ad strongly. Don’t just suggest to the buyer that you offer a great deal. Tell them it’s a fantastic offer that they can’t pass up. Use phrases like “Call me now before someone else does” or “Buy now, this opportunity won’t last long.” Be cordial while you’re pressing the issue, of course. Thank them for reading your ad and make sure they know you appreciate their business.

Most importantly, your customers will also value your honesty throughout the whole ad. So whether it’s the attention, interest, or action you’re shooting for, never lie or exaggerate. Go so far to include any defects if your product is not in mint shape. Your honesty will build trust, and trust above all else makes an ad work. What’s more, it makes for repeat customers.

Remember, if you use all three of these elements-or four if you include honesty. When you’re finished with it, it should read something like the two examples below.

Example 1:

Discover the beauty of a Forest Hill Home
2500 sq. ft. home, 4 bedroom, 3 baths, double garage, upgraded kitchen, 12 ft. ceilings
This open concept house is situated in a historical landmark district of Rhode Island. It’s a wonderful neighborhood to raise your family, with nearby schools and amenities.
