Using flyers is one commonly overlooked method of advertising offline. Flyers are extremely easy to create. They also allow you to exhibit some of your creative side, making it just that much more fun to make money.
In some areas, you may be able to put up as many flyers as you can afford to duplicate! The more flyers you put up the better chances you have of making money.
Go to the web site of the product your promoting, and save their web page to your hard drive. Modify the page a little bit so that it is in the form of a flyer, and be sure to include your own affiliate link on the flyer to ensure you make money.
Once you are satisfied with the way it looks, compile a list of all the possible places you may be able to put up your flyers,(ie) college campuses, neighborhood bullentin boards, supermarkets, etc. If you don’t have the time to place them, consider hiring someone to do it for you.
If your flyer directs your potential customer to a web site, then the only traffic you will receive are those people who would take the time to enter your web address into their Internet Browser. That’s pretty qualified traffic!
Let’s break it down and estimate the amount of sales/traffic you could receive from a well planned offline flyer campaign.
Say you print 500 flyers promoting an affiliate product that you signed up for. If you put up 500 flyers on bulletin boards that allow your flyers for two weeks, you have an almost 100% guaranteed exposure number of 500 times 14 or 7000 impressions. If 1% of 7,000 are converted to a $30 dollar sale, you have just made $2,100 or 70 sales.
Now that’s good money if you ask me.
All you have to do is find a way to convert your affiliate products web site to a flyer, and print out as many copies as you can afford. Then the small task of getting them circulated.
Several months ago I ran a test campaign similar to this and started to receive sales the day after I posted all my flyers.
You may want to add flyers as part of your advertising plan.

If you are interested in earning income from your website, should you consider using the Google AdSense program to place targeted ads on your web pages? When I first considered this idea, I wasnt sure if it was right for me. You see, I have a number of websites that promote affiliate links to products and services in my market. I felt that if I put Google ads on my pages they would compete with my affiliate sales. Sure, I knew you got paid when visitors clicked on these ads, but could it be a significant amount? Eventually, I saw that many other top marketers were using these ads on their pages. So I decided to dive in and give it a try, and after a year of using these ads here is what I can tell you.
The first thing I noticed was the ease of use in using Google AdSense. Once you have joined the program for free, you can start creating your ad codes. And the neat thing is, you can customize the ads to your web pages. You can choose the color of the ads so that they match the color theme of your pages. You can choose from many different size ad blocks. For example, they have 468×60 regular banner size and 120×600 towers. This way, you can choose the size that is right for your page. Once you have made your selection, you simply cut and paste the html and place it where you want on your page, and your part is done!
You can track your ads with channels? Lets say your website has 10 pages. You can give each page its own channel so that when you log in to check your ad stats, you will see how many ad views and clicks you are getting on each page. This is helpful because it shows you where your ad revenue is coming from.
I havent really noticed any competition with my other affiliate programs! Ive realized that Google ads dont compete with my website, they are an additional income stream. My sales and sign-ups didnt plummet once I started using the ads. What I believe now is that a certain percentage of visitors arent going to convert into customers, so the ads are simply another way to generate revenue from visitors who werent going to be customers anyway. As long as your own offers are well laid out on your site, if a visitor is interested in what you have they will still become a customer.
A good thing about Google ads is that they are targeted? This means that the ad content normally matches the content of your site. For example, if your site is about Boston terrier dogs, you will mostly get ads about Boston terrier dogs, or at least dogs. I cant explain how they do it, but the ad html you post on your site picks up the keywords on your pages, and ads are generated that match the site keywords. This is good because the ads will match the target market for your website. And since the ads rotate on their own, it gives you ‘fresh’ content.
Another bonus is that you are associating with a trusted source in Google. They are presently the number one search engine, which means that people know them and trust them. Having their presence on your website will therefore not lose you credibility.
Yes, but how much can I make, you ask! That depends on how much traffic your website gets, and the subject matter of your website. Generally, the more visitors your website gets, the more clicks you will receive on the ads. Since you get paid per click, your earnings go up with more clicks. Secondly, the subject matter of your site plays a large part. Advertisers have to bid on the keywords for their ads, and the bids generally go higher if there are more advertisers bidding on the same keywords. Likewise, subjects that deal with highly profitable industries, like loans, mortgages, and home business, tend to get higher bids. The higher the bids, the more you get paid for click. To sum up, if your website deals with popular subject matter in a profitable field, and you get steady traffic, you should do well.
In closing, if you decide to join the Google AdSense program, make sure you read their terms of service so that you follow all the rules. They have recently added some extra features to allow members to earn more, such as paying for referrals and toolbar downloads. The growth in online advertising keeps getting bigger and bigger with no signs of stopping. The AdSense program is an excellent way for you to benefit from this and earn an extra revenue stream from your website. I highly recommend it!

If you have a computer and a printer, preferably one that can print in color, then you can make your own brochures and business cards that are very professional-looking! Be sure to use good quality paper (that is available at any office supplies store like Office Depot or Staples) for anything that you are going to hand out or send to potential customers and clients.
Writing Text for Your Brochure and Business Card
The very best thing to do is to get a few examples of business brochures and business cards, preferably from the same type of business as the business you are starting. If you cant find any, then think about the type of customer or client you are trying to attract.
If you are starting a professional service as your at-home business (such as accounting, bookkeeping, proofreading, etc.), then the text and graphics used in your brochure and business card should be minimal, crisp, easy to read, and contain only the most vital pieces of information. Clutter?is not very professional. Pick paper colors that are monotone (one color) or that have a nice edging in a complementary color. State what services you have to offer, describe your business in professional-style precise terms, and make sure that your contact information (name, phone/fax/cell number, and email address) is easy to locate.
If you are going to start up something like a childrens birthday party service or another fun?type of business, then you definitely want to think about bright colors and graphics that grab peoples attention! Remember though, dont clutter?your brochure or business card with too much information! Make sure your prospective customers can find your name, phone number, and email address easily—make them want to contact you right away!
Creating Brochures
Most brochures are either bi-fold (one fold, four printable sides or areas? or tri-fold (two folds, with six printable areas). You need to decide on which format you want to use, and then shop for good-quality paper that comes pre-scored (or creased? so that it folds with a sharp edge. Brochure paper is heavier than printer paper (called stock?or card stock?.
Your computer probably has a few built-in templates for creating simple brochures. Many print shop?type software programs offer a variety of templates that you can use to create more professional-looking brochures. Regardless of which you use, it should require very little effort to create your first business brochure! (I was able to use a template provided in my Hallmark Greetings! software to create a brochure that was professional-looking and had a little bit of personality?to it!)
Follow the instructions for the template you are going to use, and write the text for your brochure as described above. If you are going to insert pictures or graphics, make sure that you are not violating any copyrights (if you are taking graphics from another source). Using the guidelines given above, make your text simple and clear and be sure that your contact information is easy to locate on the brochure.
Business Cards
Just as for the brochures, your computer will either have a few easy templates to use, or you can use any print-shop-type software that has templates for business forms. Using the guidelines as given above, write the text for your business card.
I do suggest that you buy business cards that are laser-perforated?so that when you separate the business cards after you print them, you will get nice sharp edges.
Flyers
If you have the type of business that you can promote by tacking up flyers, then you need nothing more than your word processing software. Flyers are generally printer paper sized, and you can be as creative as you like!
You might want to invest in card-stock-weight paper for your flyers. This paper is a little heavier and will be a little more durable than printer paper.
Things to Remember When Printing Your Business Brochures and Business Cards
Keep the text simple!
Buy good quality paper!
Set your printer preferences for Better?or Best?print quality
Print a test?page first, using just plain printer paper (fold as necessary for a brochure or cut to size for a business card and make sure it looks?good)
Be sure to save your brochure and business card templates so that you can easily print more or change information as needed, as your business grows

Advertising Specialty Distributors sell and market the products of various manufacturers. These distributors cater to the needs of the people by making the finished Advertising Specialty products available. Advertising Specialty distributors are also known as promotional product distributors. If you are a new Advertising Specialty products manufacturer then the Internet is the best place to look for distributors.
Nowadays, the majority of Advertising Specialty manufacturers are in the business of distribution as well. These companies dont want to hire any middlemen or distributors to sell their products; they prefer direct contact with the market. They generally manage the orders from large corporate houses along with the smaller businesses. Apart from distributing they also provide services like designing, imprinting and communication.
Generally, major Advertising Specialty Distributors contract with the companies who are either manufacturers or consumers. While looking for an Advertising Specialty Distributor, always look into its track record of the market coverage. This means its range of covering the market and people. If the shop is centrally located or in an industrial area, that distributor will generally have an edge over his rivals. Their main aim is to secure product acceptance and maximum market coverage.
Advertising Specialty products are more popular than ever; there are 15,000 to 20,000 distributors in the U.S. market alone. So if youre new to the market or an old player who desires to make a mark, then try to go in for a big and established Advertising Specialty Distributor, who can take your product places. But make sure the chosen distributor fulfills all your requirements.
Advertising Specialties provides detailed information about advertising specialties, advertising specialty companies, advertising specialty distributors, advertising specialty manufacturers, and more. Advertising Specialties is the sister site of Outdoor Banner Stands.

In part one of this article we discussed the importance of the look or appearance of your brochure.
The look or image that your brochure conveys is vastly important. In fact, the appearance will determine how most people form their initial impression of your company. But, the message on your brochure is just as important. Ultimately you need to say something of value in your brochure if you want it to move people closer to the sale. Here are a few tips to keep in mind to ensure that your brochure has the right message.
1. Speak in Terms of Your Prospects Interests. Theres an old saying that all people are tuned in to the same radio station ?WIIFM, which means Whats In It For Me?? That is the question that all people will be asking on a conscious or subconscious level as they read your brochure. Only talk in terms of your prospects wants and interests.
2. Focus on Benefits, not Just Features. Features are the technical aspects of your product ?i.e. power sunroof. Benefits are the enjoyment or satisfaction your customer will get from that feature. Remember that people buy the benefit that your product will bring them not the features. For example people dont want to buy a treadmill; they just want to loose weight and look great. They dont want to buy a washing machine; they want clean clothes with no effort and so on. Dont stop at features; make sure you mention all of the benefits that you offer.
3. Brand Your Logo and USP. This falls under image and message. Make sure you put your logo and your USP (Unique Selling Proposition) together. You want to reinforce the fact that your company is different and better than the competition.
4. Have Some Kind of Offer. To get the most out of your brochure have some kind of offer. Offer a discount, a free report, a sample, a free trial, or whatever makes sense for your business. Having some kind of offer will increase the chances that your brochure will generate sales.
Following these 4 tips will greatly increase the likelihood that your brochure will be noticed, and read, and, hopefully it will aid in making a sale. If you dont follow these 4 tips, then you brochure is probably headed for the trash.

Make a list of everything you think should be
included at one time or another, in one of your
ad, be it radio, newspaper or Little Jimmie’s
class play program.
Everything. Experience, staff, facility, product.
The list will be quite long. Take the time to do
it now, before you read the rest of this article.
Next, take a hard look at your list, pencil in
hand, and cross off all items that are about YOU
(including YOUR staff, YOUR building, YOUR
ranking, awards etc). Now, x-out all the
FEATURES of your products or service.
The number one rule, the only rule, for great
advertising is “Sell the Benefits”.
Take a poll, people don’t care if you have the
largest selection in town. It means nothing that
“New Stuff is arriving daily”. They want to know
what you or your product can do for them. WIIFM or
“What’s In It For Me?” Ease pain and you gain.
You see and hear ads everyday that miss the point
entirely. Giant billboards with pictures of the
medical clinic staff standing in front of a wall
of awards. Picture of a guy with a wrench and the
words “See me for all your plumbing needs.” Three
little girls on TV yelling an unintelligible
slogan about their daddy’s store. It’s all about
them. It should be all about the customer.
Did you see the one on TV where a guy gets the
water cooler dumped on him because he bought the
good software? What picture does that tell? It
would have been better if the guy told me (from a
sunny beach location) the boss gave him another
week of vacation because the new software saved
the company 40 million bucks. Benefits.
How about the newspaper ad with the picture of
the funeral home building and how they have been
around for 85 years? Benefit?
Ads about “you you you” can look and sound really
great, to you, you, you. We all love to talk about
ourselves. Where are the benefits? What hook does
your face on a billboard use to bring customers
through the door? Your face is NOT a benefit.
We all grew up thinking “me me me”. Remember how
excited you got when you first saw your name or
picture in the newspaper? Even the school paper.
It was a BIG deal. “Me me me.” Great for your ego,
but take that thinking to your advertising and it
flops.
The first time you make the list and cross out the
me me mees and all the features, you may have only
one or two points left to promote. Make a new list
and think “them them them”. Think benefits.
The ads that stick in your head are the ones that
promise to make your life easier. The appliance
store promising to deliver at the appointed time.
You don’t have to stay home all day waiting for
the truck. A real benefit. It makes no difference
if the TV is made by Acme or Zenith? They will
deliver on time. Let’s go there. Benefits.
The company that says their plumber will show up
clean, on time, and not smell. Another benefit!
Who cares what a financial advisor looks like, but
tell people they can retire and not eat dog food
and you get their attention. Benefit.
Funny thing, the ads about benefits are the ones
we make the mental note to remember. Hmmm.
Sell the benefits and you don’t have to sell
yourself.

Instant communication? Palm Pilots, laptops, cell phones, instant messaging devices - of all the communications tools out there, the single best one is still the business card. With it, you instantly communicate your name, your business, your contact information and, with a little design capability, your personal style.
A well designed business card marks you as a professional, so make sure you choose a design that reflects the products you represent. Selling high tech computer equipment or software? A sleek, modern, minimalist design is perfect. Selling Victorian clothing or home dcor accessories? A more elegant design with a floral or lacy theme may be more suitable. And while basic white is still popular, choosing a card design with dynamic colors will make your business card stand out from the crowd.
Make sure you include all the information you need to make it easy for prospective customers to contact you. Your name and business address, landline and cell phone numbers, and email address will direct your customers to you. If you have a website, including the URL on your business card will also let you provide substantial sales and background information to prospective buyers before they even contact you. Not only does this make your sales job easier, since you’ve already educated prospective customers to some extent about your product, the people who contact you after seeing your website are more likely to be serious customers.
Once you receive your business cards, get creative about how you distribute them. If you’re at a restaurant, dry cleaners, or other business that offers you a chance to win something for depositing your business card in a bowl, take them up on it. Just make sure, if you’re supposed to put your card into a clear container, that you deposit the card facing right side up, out at the customers; that way everyone who comes to that business’s counter can read your card.
Still paying bills the old fashioned way, through the mail? Drop a business card in with every check, every month. Join the local Chamber of Commerce, and pass your business card around at their after hours get-togethers. Need to hand someone connected to your personal life your home phone? Write it on the back of your business card.
You never know where your next sale is coming from. If you’ve got well designed, information-rich business cards on you at all times, you’ll be prepared to make contact whenever a prospective customer appears. In addition, a sales training workshop can help you close the deal after that prospective coustomer makes contact.

Invitations can be as simple as a postcard or as elaborate and intricate through greeting cards. No matter which print medium you wish to choose, any important celebration goes hand in hand with a charming and engaging invitation.
Invitation printing can be the most finicky errand when planning for your party, be it baby showers, engagement parties, anniversaries or birthdays. Why do we fuss so much about the invitations is not as complex and daunting to comprehend.
Invitations serve not only as a formal request. It is an observed tradition that indicates the significance of the recipients attendance. It communicates this sentiment that is important in dealing with personal affairs.
Other than this, it helps build up the theme of the event or of the gathering. It can aptly motivate and excite the recipient just by hinting him or her just enough as to what to expect in the event.
Let your style flourish and effectively announce your events through invitations. Invitations for such gatherings are supposed to be a cinch to make since may designs are available online. There are various templates to guide you through the designs available for any particular gathering. Even though there are more than adequate themes to give you ideas, the possibilities in itself can be overwhelming.
What does one have to prioritize in invitation printing in order to create memorable invites? Here are some of the basic things you should take into consideration when designing and printing your invitations. Some of which can even effortlessly embellish the look of your invitations.
Professional printers give you convenience when printing bulk invitations. They even lend their expertise to give you solutions for your printing needs. Some even have mailing services to get your invitations where and when you want them delivered.
And speaking of bulk invitations, it is always better to order in a large round sum that will allow you to have extra invitations. Youll never know when you might have forgotten a friend from the list or made a new friend just before the big celebration.
Stationery is a useful item you can use to complement your invitations. It is especially handy when you do not want to overload your invitation with details. You can let your invitation cards do the talking about the party and fill it with enticing texts and images. The stationery can be a useful space where you can add a personal message to you recipient. Also, the stationery can hold the information on contact details, illustration on maps, what to bring or what to wear.
The Font of the Matter is that texts are made to be read. Even though fonts can exquisitely add to the look of your design, make sure that your recipient can easily read them. Make sure too that your fonts would be able to print legibly. When in doubt, it doesnt hurt to ask your printer if it is possible to work with your font and come up with a sharp, readable print.
Colors can greatly affect the overall feel of your invitation. Such comes in handy for particular occasions and seasons, but not be limited to it. Baby showers are not just pastel pinks and baby blues. Working on the pastel colors, why not use soft yellows and greens for a change?
Other than adding to the theme of your invitation card, color is another practical factor for achieving an effective design. The colors of your images should be carefully balanced with the text if you are overlaying your font against your graphics. The colors of your fonts can get lost and overwhelmed by the strength of your images colors or the sheer lack of it.
Its a Wrap and sometimes too a band or a ribbon which can add some flair to your invitations without costly customizations. A simple lace can add a little flamboyance to your invitation without going overboard.

Typical methods of advertising-newspapers, radio and television are effective if used properly, but there are other, less expensive ways to get your company’s name out.
Local or cable television is an inexpensive alternative to the traditional forms of advertising. Even if you have no experience advertising in this medium, there are companies who specialize in lending a helping hand. Even if finances are a concern (as they are for most of us), you’ll be surprised to discover a 30 second spot television ad can cost as little as a few hundred dollars.
Many areas have public auctions on local stations that will advertise your product, if you donate up to a certain dollar amount. The number of advertising spots will depend on how much you donate.
Remember also to send press releases to your local television and radio stations. Many times they will come out and do a story on you, if it is of interest to the public.
We volunteered to do resumes for people out of work and sent releases to all the radio and television stations. One of the three major networks in our area, sent someone out to interview us, and we were on the 6 and 11 o’clock news.
As for radio advertising, check your local stations for rates. You’ll be surprised at how low some of them are. Again, if you send press releases to the stations, sometimes they will call you as an expert in your area, or for an interview. We sent releases to all the stations in our area when we started our support group, and this generated three times the number of people we expected for our first meeting.
Since most major newspapers are expensive to advertise in, check with the smaller local papers. You can advertise in many of these for as little as $25 a month. You could also offer to write a column for these publications, as an expert in the area, if appropriate.
We all need to advertise in one way or another. Which medium you choose will depend on your particular business.
