So you want to sell drugs and make a lot of money? And you want to drive a nice car while selling drugs without getting arrested? Well, theres a way that you can, legally! Of course we are not talking about dealing with any illegal or illicit drugs here. We are referring to a career as a professional drug representative for one of the many pharmaceutical companies out there.
Most pharmaceutical companies have sales forces of men and women who are professional drug representatives. They are highly trained individuals with expert knowledge on various pharmaceutical drugs, human physiology and sales techniques. They have to be as the main customer groups they deal with everyday are educated healthcare professionals like physicians, nurses and pharmacists.
The role of drug representatives, or drug reps as they are sometimes called, is to promote the use of their companys pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals. It is up to drug reps to keep physicians up to date on all the benefits of prescribing their drugs. Drug representatives also make sure that local pharmacies are adequately stocked of their companys drugs products so when prescriptions come in, they can be filled.
What is somewhat hidden from the general public is that the pharmaceutical industry is quite competitive as drug representatives from different companies are all trying to get physicians to prescribe their products. Its a form of sales in a high level corporate type of way.
One can easily identify who the drug reps are when going through hospitals or medical clinics. They will be the smartly dressed individuals carrying brief cases that contain information as well as drug samples for the doctors.
Successful drug representatives can make very good money with overall financial packages up to six figures. Add in the use of company cars, expense accounts and corporate travel, the perks of being a drug rep can certainly add up to make a very nice career.
So if you may want to consider selling drugs legally as a career, do some research on the job of a drug representative. You just might have what it takes to be a successful drug rep.

Picture this - clean, smooth, hairless bodies! Doesn’t that sound appealing? What more, that you can permanently free yourself from waxing, tweezing and shaving? Well laser is the solution!
Laser hair removal has become the rule of the day. This therapy is defined as “epilation performed by laser.” Epilation means removal of hair from the body. The chief technology behind it is selective photothermolysis. The scientific definition of selective photothermolysis is - getting the right amount of the right wavelength of laser energy to the right tissue to damage or destroy only that tissue, and nothing else.
So what is the role of a Laser Hair removal specialist? And how do you know that you have consulted the right specialist? There are some questions that you need to ask before deciding if this therapy is right for you.
A laser hair removal specialist or surgeon (as they are known) uses a special instrument in order to deliver pulses of light into the hair follicles. Follicles are damaged and hair growth is terminated due to the heat emitted. The laser pulses are long enough to vaporize the pigment, and thus disable a number of follicles at a time. This drastically hinders any hair growth in the treated area.
The time frame of the treatment and the intensity of the laser beam is dependant on two criteria:
* Density and color of the body hair.
* The body surface from which the hair is to be removed.
The treatment can be performed in either minutes or hours. The number of sessions required for the treatment can vary though. Usually patients need to wait for nearly a year to notice substantial benefits of the treatment, as hair growth cycles are about six months.
Selecting Your Specialist
The parameters of selecting a laser hair removal specialist are:
* Ensure that the specialist works on a good laser, which has been prescribed for hair removal.
* Is the laser used, harmless to your skin and hair type?
* Reliable certification of being a laser hair removal specialist and level of experience in the field.
* Policy of the clinic to correcting or repeating the procedure if the therapy does not produce desired and expected results.
* Cleanliness of the clinic.
* Last, but not the least, charges for the treatment.
Guidance From The Specialist
A reliable and qualified specialist should also be able to guide his customer on the following:
* How your skin will respond to the thermal effects of hair removal.
* He should be able to detect and understand underlying causes of hair growth, which can influence your hair removal progress, and develop a treatment schedule that will work for you.
* Should be able to refer you to respective specialists when hormonal imbalances are detected which cause some types of hair growth or when unusual dermatology conditions are observed.
A special mention here is that customers ready to undergo this therapy should be aware that not all laser hair removal specialists are physicians, as some of them may be have studied or trained for specifically, hair removal, under which they learn the biology and growth cycles of human hair, laser physics, and safety concerns of the treatment.
Customers Should Make Certain
It is suggested, that customers go for the first-time consultation and trial, before undergoing the therapy itself. Also, customers should inform the hair removal specialist about specific allergies and medical conditions. They should intimate the surgeon if they are undergoing any particular medication, as that can affect the therapy adversely.
Also, it is the customers right to know more about the therapy. So customers need to ask the following questions:
* Can the laser treatment cause irritation to the skin?
* How many sessions to undergo?
* Any specific methods that will be used, deviating from the normal procedure, is so, why?
* Any health-related side effects?
* What are the precautions to be used during the treatment, and post treatment?
* Confirmation of the permanency of the treatment.
* Is the treatment, completely painless and if not, what kind of anesthesia is being used?
* The chances of re-growth.
* Talk to clients that have previously undergone the treatment from the particular practitioner.
* Also, make sure to have a written document of the prescribed treatment and the expected results. In this regard, it is advantageous if the customer notes down the particular laser device used and other specifications of the treatment.
Safe beautification is the key! Make sure to take adequate precautions and select the right specialist.

Passport controls have been abolished for most member states, and custom checks were also abolished at many of the EUs internal borders, creating to some extent a single space of mobility for EU citizens to live, travel, work and invest.
Poland and Latvia currently have the lowest standard of living and Turkey, Croatia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia are officially recognized as potential candidates.
With millions of mobile workers and some countries with more opportunities than others, this has led to mass migration within and around the EU. What should employers think about when looking at recruiting and retaining workers from other EU countires?
From an Employers Perspective
According to new in-depth research published by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, the study reveals that 75% of employers felt that European enlargement had been good for business, with migrant workers doing jobs under employment conditions that UK nationals are not prepared to accept.
Employers valued highly qualified migrant workers for low-skilled and low-waged work. They preferred benefiting from what they see as the work ethic and reliability of migrant workers to employing reluctant UK nationals who some described as lazy. Employers recognised that recruitment and retention difficulties were often the result of long, anti-social hours, high physical demands, low pay and status. But they claimed they still found it hard to attract UK workers when pay and non-wage benefits were increased.
Employers that dont currently employ any non UK staff need to see beyond recent immigration hype and media hysteria to tap into the needs of the European Union speaking workers and find mutual economic opportunity.
EU migrants need to made aware of advice services and other formal social services as they may need their help more than they would in their home country because they do not have the extended network of family and long-term family friends to rely upon. Some progressive companies have welfare rights workers to help them apply for national insurance numbers and to signpost to agencies with housing problems etc.
At the moment all migrants can access free English courses but as of September 2007 all EU migrants will have to pay for this privilege unless they are claiming benefits in the UK. Employment agencies have been known to tout for business by offering paid employment and free English lessons in a bid to attract EU workers to come to the UK. I agree with the government on this one, if the employers want English speaking staff, they should pay for it not me! They are getting hard working employees willing to work endless overtime and the nigh shift, the cost of English lessons are a small price to pay.
If immigrant workers are going to be fulfilled, motivated and productive, they need to live their values in the workplace, and feel they are valued and appreciated. They must be involved and experience that their contributions matter. Thus far EU workers may be considered an underdeveloped resource and employers would be wise to reassess their largest capital cost of labour through identifying ways in which these employees can reach their full potential, and thus contribute more effectively to output and profits.
For more information see the Joseph Rowntree Foundation report on EU workers http://www.jrf.org.uk/pressroom/releases/010506.asp

There are many exciting opportunities out there for a law school graduate. Take some time to research all the possibilities and you will find your career path. Here are just a few ways you can utilize your law degree.
Join a law firm. Many graduates join a law firm right after graduation. When starting at a law firm, you are an associate. This is entry-level lawyering.
Being an associate is not unlike completing a residency for a doctor. You will work long hours every week and complete most of the grunt work. You will produce legal documents, write briefs, research for hours and other tedious tasks all in the hopes of climbing the ladder to one day become partner.
Becoming partner is the pinnacle of law firm statuses. As one of the partners, you have a say in what cases your firm takes on and other big decisions. Partners also share the profits of the law firm. Once all expenses have been paid out such as associates’ salaries, the income that is left will be distributed between the partners. The respect of being partner and the high earning potential attracts many law school graduates.
Law graduates who prefer not to deal with the social hierarchy of a law firm may opt to find work in a corporation. This position is called in-house counsel. You are employed by the company and work in the legal department. As in-house counsel you will typically work less hours than at a law firm and your salary will be fixed.
Another career option for lawyers is to work for the government. There are many positions to be found in the government and non-profit sector. You can work as a public defender where you will defend criminal cases. This is higher paid than you might think. You will deal with many interesting cases in this capacity and you will also face much court time.
Another path in government is becoming an assistant district attorney. In this position you will be the prosecutor in criminal cases.
So how do you go about obtaining these positions? The time to start looking for a job as lawyer is in law school. In law school you will intern in different firms. Most firms hire a great percentage of associates from the summer internship pool.
If you’re looking into working for the government, do your homework. There are many different government agencies out there that employ lawyers. Search online at government web sites and find a contact method.
A great way to find job openings is by keeping in touch with your classmates. An old law school friend may be able to recommend you to a law firm or know other lawyers that can direct you to different employers. It’s always good to network.
There are many opportunities out there for someone with a law degree. Don’t ever feel stuck. If you decide that you don’t want to practice law, your degree still qualifies you for many jobs in business management or in the non-profit sector.

Receptionist jobs are frequently advertised as they are commonly sought by companies and firms. The most important part of a receptionist job description is the status of the job - it can be either full time or part time. It is also important to find out the reporting structure, the summary of the position, the accountabilities, preferred knowledge, qualifications and experience and the location of the job.
There are various important requirements that a receptionist job description asks to be fulfilled from those that apply to such jobs. It is important for one applying for a receptionist to be smooth and efficient in running a front desk. The receptionist needs to be able to perform a lot of duties, including keeping an eye on who comes and goes at the same time an eye on the reception area and guest rooms. Receptionists have to ensure that the appointment books are well maintained and coordinated.
However, their most important job is to maintain decorum and a high degree of quality communication between the various parties concerned.
Receptionists are accountable for appointments and scheduling them properly on the days and times specified, as well as reminding people of these appointments. They are required to understand a lot of things about the operations of an office and give information about the same over the phone. They also have to be confident about using computers and software applications that are necessary for their jobs. They also need to be able to make recommendations and handle complaints and requests in a professional and calm manner.
Often the main knowledge or qualifications asked for in receptionist job descriptions are those pertaining to good communication skills, presentablity and language skills with the ability to take up roles and responsibilities on a pro-active basis.
In addition to all of this, the most important quality perhaps, is that they need to be confident with organizational ability and also possess the capacity to multi-task. Often receptionists also have to take up tasks related to selling.

**** Have you ever been abused by a customer? Does your company have a policy clearly outlining how to handle the situation so you don’t end up a punching bag? Discover a mind, body and spirit solution to managing this situation and maintaining your self-esteem. ****
My customer service etiquette was tested this week. I was given the details of a man who wanted to speak to someone in charge. Unfortunately, the call centre representative passing on the message wasn’t sure what it was about, only that he wanted to talk to someone about an email he received.
When I called the customer he asked me if I had read the email. Of course, I had to clarify which of the thousands of emails sent to and from our company each day he was referring to and he identified a recent piece of marketing correspondence.
Once I had it front of me, he demanded, Well, can you see a problem with it? When I said “No” he huffed and referred me to a sentence that had the words “employee’s time”. He confidently advised me that there shouldn’t be an apostrophe.
Initially I was dumbstruck that somebody would waste their time ringing up about an apostrophe, but once I regained my speech I politely advised him that I believed the wording was correct. It was the time belonging to the employee and therefore the apostrophe indicated a possessive noun.
Twenty minutes later there was no reasoning, no other issues and no winning. He accused me of not being able to see the error as it was an Americanisation of grammar, I didn’t realise America had its own apostrophe system. When I told him I wasn’t from the U.S. he accused, “You’ve got an American accent!”
The conversation continued its decline and he asked that the situation be escalated to the CEO as he, incorrectly, believed that an apostrophe was not supposed to be in an email.
Temporarily falling into little girl mode I thought, I’m going to get into trouble, which I thankfully realised was ridiculous.
I hung up feeling extremely frustrated. It was like being bound and gagged, as I believed I wasnt able to express myself because I was representing a company that I was consulting for and didnt own. What I really wanted to say was, “I’m going to end this conversation as we’re not getting anywhere. I’m sorry if you believe the grammar is incorrect, but it’s not, so let’s agree to disagree and not waste any more of each other’s time. Goodbye.”
This guy was nothing compared to previous customer conversations I experienced when owning a plus-size fashion business with my best friend, Ivana. We held fashion parades throughout Sydney and one day I received a phone call from a woman complaining about one of our models. I cant believe you let a size 26 woman on the catwalk. I was embarrassed for her as she strutted her stuff, looking so confident. She had rolls of fat, it was disgusting, Im her size and I would never prance around like that looking so happy.
How do you respond to that? She was obviously displacing her insecurities onto our confident model and Ivana handled it perfectly, Im sorry you feel that way, but were often commended for using beautiful women who represent all body sizes, she said.
It was overhearing Ivanas response that I learned sorry wasnt an apology, but a statement of understanding the complainers feelings.
Fortunately, Ivana had extensive experience in customer service ranging from: clients who loved her work as a web designer until they received the bill, to her stint as a customer service representative at a healthcare company where she took a call from a lady complaining how painful it was to remove her sanitary pad, the cause? She was sticking it to herself instead of her underpants. Or, how about the diabetic who complained that a sugar substitute she used to bake a cake caused her blood sugar levels to skyrocket. When they asked how many slices she ate, she admitted to eating the entire cake. She obviously forgot about the carbohydrate component.
As I gladly escalated the apostrophe issue it got me thinking, is it OK to accept unreasonable behaviour from a customer because you don’t want to jeopardise the reputation of the firm you work for?
If customers have legitimate complaints they have a right to be assertive, but not aggressive. I felt trapped because I wasnt clear on the companys policy for handling these situations, so in reality, I probably tolerated a lot more than was necessary.
Does your company have a policy that outlines when it’s OK to say, “Enough is enough” and you know your actions will be supported?
What about those in frontline positions who may frequently deal with unreasonable people, youve got to ask, “How does this affect me psychologically and how can I avoid getting fired when protecting myself against clients I really want to tell to take a hike?
Maltreatment should not be tolerated by organisations, so if theres no complaints handling policy, ask for one to be created that is fair to both the customer and employee. Remember, we may be workers, but were not whipping boys (or girls)!
*** How to handle this situation ***
^ Mind
Youre frustrated, angry, hurt, insulted. You need to remember that a customers unreasonable behaviour is about them, not you. They dont know you, youre just the person at the receiving end, its not always fair, but you need to let it go. Take a moment to close your eyes and sit quietly. Start with three deep breaths and on the fourth breath out release the negative feelings and words that were a result of the unpleasant incident. On each breathe in imagine cleansing air coming into your body. Repeat this process until you feel lighter and less tense.
^ Body
Attack creates tension, so its important that you literally shake it off. The best thing is to get up and go for a walk. Make sure you dont dwell on the situation as the scenario deserves no more of your time. Put the whole thing in perspective - its a beautiful day, children are laughing, birds are singing and theres more to life than one sourpuss.
^ Spirit
You may be thinking, Why do I get the nasty ones? Consider the lesson in the experience. Did you learn not to take on others emotions, did it give you the opportunity to practice assertiveness, or understand that sorry doesnt always mean an apology, just that youre sorry they feel that way? Did it open your eyes to the way you give feedback? Are you a little more aggressive than necessary and, now that youve been on the receiving end, youre considering changing your approach in future?
Gain strength from the situation.

I am always surprised that work at home websites can make good money by demanding job seekers up front money for no fee work at home job leads. We live in a free economy so, I understand why some sites do it. The fact of the matter is that a lot of effort is needed to go through thousands of job boards and web sites to find no fee work from home jobs.
You probably already know this but the big job sites such as Monster.com and Careerbuilder are not specialized in no fee work from home jobs. The at home jobs listed there are usually mixed in with regular jobs and the thousands of home based business opportunities which tend to require a fee.
It can take two life times to filter through all the junk to locate just one free work at home job lead. And it will take just as much time to find the next lead. I know what you are thinking he must be a mind reader. As a result, you have found my article.
Trust me I feel your pain and have been to hell and back with that process But I do have a solution for you. When searching big non work at home specialized websites, the first thing you need to know is what keywords to use in the search box.
So let’s break down the keywords to avoid. Do not type in the following keywords:
Work At Home
Work From Home
Work At Home Jobs
Work From Home Jobs
Work At Home Job
Work From Home Job
Work At Home Opportunity
Work from Home Opportunity
Work At Home Opportunities
Work From Opportunities
Do you see the pattern here? I know it does not make sense. But the problem is many of the shady people as well as legitimate home based business opportunity providers use these keywords. Obviously you want to avoid the scam artist, there isn’t an explanation that needs to be provided for that. Legitimate home based business opportunities are fine but in my experience some of you prefer to be employees rather than owning a business where you could make significantly more money. I’m not knocking you, but the fact of the matter is you are more likely to earn way more money with your own home based business. But I digress. Here are the key words you want to use for your search in the major job sites:
telecommuting
telecommute
telecommuter
telework
teleworking
virtual
virtual employee
virtual company
virtual office
working virtually
remote work
remote contractor
outsourcing opportunity
freelance
freelance jobs
independent contractor
off-site

Getting an interview for college students and graduates, especially for those that dont have the right pedigree, i.e. the right school and/or the top 10% GPA score, is much more difficult today than even just a few years ago. Unfortunately, far too often, job candidates still rely upon methods that have been determined to be ineffective 95% of the time. On the other hand, candidates are finding success by utilizing a proactive methodology that successful professionals have used for years. Its called networking.
Most job candidates find the idea of networking to be intimidating. But, it doesnt have to be. Just follow a three-step approach, and youll be successful in no time at all.
Step 1: List Your Contacts
In many cases, it is easier to meet someone through someone else. Make a list of everyone that you know or with whom you have an association. Include everyone you can think of: family and friends, school alumni/ae, coworkers, salespeople in stores you frequent, current and former neighbors, teachers/professors, and people from your religious institution, professional associations, social organizations, and so forth. Organize this list, but do not omit anyone because youre not sure if they will be helpful. This list will be the foundation of your network, so keep it open.
Step 2: Identify Your Objective
Your primary objective is to use your contacts to obtain referrals and introductions to others who can help you accomplish your goals. It is important to realize that most people want to help. But, at the same time, you need to approach them in an appropriate manner and assist them in helping you. Know exactly what you hope to accomplish from each contact before you approach them. If you need specific information, write your questions down so that your conversation can be efficient and convenient for your contact. Johnny Sellers, formerly of Chevron says, Before I can help anyone help themselves, I need them to tell me how I can be of assistance.
Step 3: Take Action
Begin calling those individuals with whom you feel most comfortable. After introducing yourself, politely ask your contact if he or she has a moment to spare. If not, find out when the best time is to call back and hang up. If they do have time, briefly describe the nature of your efforts and explain how networking plays a role. Also, mention early in the conversation that you would like to receive referrals. You may need to schedule a time more suitable for longer conversations, so be prepared to have more than just one conversation.
In the end, networking is all about building relationships. The more relationships you have, the more likely you will know someone who knows someone else, who is working at the company where you want to interview. But, remember this. Even though you may be the one looking for a job, building relationships cant always be about your needs. As is true of any relationship, sometimes you will be in a position where you can help someone on your list. And, given that situation, you should do so without a hint of hesitation or reservation. Zig Ziglar, a notable Sales and Sales Management guru once said, You can have anything in this world that you want, as long as you help enough other people get what they want.
Networking is a game of contact. Begin with those who are closest to you and build your circle outward. By following this three-step approach, you will be taking a proactive approach to building relationships and getting interviews. In short, youre in control. Go make it happen. Launch your career!

Knowledge of your educational background is simply not enough. You are now choosing a career that involves making profits in a dynamic economy. Unless you know enough information about the economy you cannot create viable real life solutions for the organization. Here are 4 reasons for having a good knowledge of Economics
1.) Economic Prospects in your chosen field: Those who are not aware of the economy cannot be expected to be adept at handling rapid changes in laws, competition and economic opportunities. India is growing at a rapid phase in a semi state of urbanization and industrial growth. So many factors affect your chosen industry and not merely competitors. The Personal Interview panel is sure to ask your views on what are the economic prospects within the field that you choose to build a career on whether IT, Retail, or Banking and Finance.
2.) Case Studies in Personal Interview: when you understand the economy you are better equipped to spot viable opportunities. We all are told time and time again that Real life and book knowledge are worlds apart. Those who keep a close track of the economy are able to quickly spot when a small legislation passed by parliament would create better opportunities for a certain segment of business, or when currency movements dictate better hedging to protect export earnings. MBAs are supposed to come up with solutions that work. If you are given a case study in the Personal Interview, knowledge of the same may help frame a better answer.
3.) Capability to Analyze Real life competition: The competitors are not merely your industry players. An unfavourable law could make a state less tax efficient, or a decision by China could move raw material prices through the roof. Being part of a global economy means that one has to keep an eye out for not merely players within the industry. The Personal Interview may be sure to ask you what threats present India in your chosen field, i.e. Chinese strength in BPO, IT etc
4.) Abstract Extempore: You may be given abstract topics to speak on. A capability to talk about economic situations in an extempore will definitely impress the panel. However unless you have a good understanding of Economic news you will not be in a position to make convincing viewpoints related to your Extempore
So knowledge of the economy and economics is clearly essential for preparing for the MBA Interview. You dont have to fear unnecessarily even if you dont have a background in Economics.
