Picture this - clean, smooth, hairless bodies! Doesn’t that sound appealing? What more, that you can permanently free yourself from waxing, tweezing and shaving? Well laser is the solution!
Laser hair removal has become the rule of the day. This therapy is defined as “epilation performed by laser.” Epilation means removal of hair from the body. The chief technology behind it is selective photothermolysis. The scientific definition of selective photothermolysis is - getting the right amount of the right wavelength of laser energy to the right tissue to damage or destroy only that tissue, and nothing else.
So what is the role of a Laser Hair removal specialist? And how do you know that you have consulted the right specialist? There are some questions that you need to ask before deciding if this therapy is right for you.
A laser hair removal specialist or surgeon (as they are known) uses a special instrument in order to deliver pulses of light into the hair follicles. Follicles are damaged and hair growth is terminated due to the heat emitted. The laser pulses are long enough to vaporize the pigment, and thus disable a number of follicles at a time. This drastically hinders any hair growth in the treated area.
The time frame of the treatment and the intensity of the laser beam is dependant on two criteria:
* Density and color of the body hair.
* The body surface from which the hair is to be removed.
The treatment can be performed in either minutes or hours. The number of sessions required for the treatment can vary though. Usually patients need to wait for nearly a year to notice substantial benefits of the treatment, as hair growth cycles are about six months.
Selecting Your Specialist
The parameters of selecting a laser hair removal specialist are:
* Ensure that the specialist works on a good laser, which has been prescribed for hair removal.
* Is the laser used, harmless to your skin and hair type?
* Reliable certification of being a laser hair removal specialist and level of experience in the field.
* Policy of the clinic to correcting or repeating the procedure if the therapy does not produce desired and expected results.
* Cleanliness of the clinic.
* Last, but not the least, charges for the treatment.
Guidance From The Specialist
A reliable and qualified specialist should also be able to guide his customer on the following:
* How your skin will respond to the thermal effects of hair removal.
* He should be able to detect and understand underlying causes of hair growth, which can influence your hair removal progress, and develop a treatment schedule that will work for you.
* Should be able to refer you to respective specialists when hormonal imbalances are detected which cause some types of hair growth or when unusual dermatology conditions are observed.
A special mention here is that customers ready to undergo this therapy should be aware that not all laser hair removal specialists are physicians, as some of them may be have studied or trained for specifically, hair removal, under which they learn the biology and growth cycles of human hair, laser physics, and safety concerns of the treatment.
Customers Should Make Certain
It is suggested, that customers go for the first-time consultation and trial, before undergoing the therapy itself. Also, customers should inform the hair removal specialist about specific allergies and medical conditions. They should intimate the surgeon if they are undergoing any particular medication, as that can affect the therapy adversely.
Also, it is the customers right to know more about the therapy. So customers need to ask the following questions:
* Can the laser treatment cause irritation to the skin?
* How many sessions to undergo?
* Any specific methods that will be used, deviating from the normal procedure, is so, why?
* Any health-related side effects?
* What are the precautions to be used during the treatment, and post treatment?
* Confirmation of the permanency of the treatment.
* Is the treatment, completely painless and if not, what kind of anesthesia is being used?
* The chances of re-growth.
* Talk to clients that have previously undergone the treatment from the particular practitioner.
* Also, make sure to have a written document of the prescribed treatment and the expected results. In this regard, it is advantageous if the customer notes down the particular laser device used and other specifications of the treatment.
Safe beautification is the key! Make sure to take adequate precautions and select the right specialist.

Passport controls have been abolished for most member states, and custom checks were also abolished at many of the EUs internal borders, creating to some extent a single space of mobility for EU citizens to live, travel, work and invest.
Poland and Latvia currently have the lowest standard of living and Turkey, Croatia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia are officially recognized as potential candidates.
With millions of mobile workers and some countries with more opportunities than others, this has led to mass migration within and around the EU. What should employers think about when looking at recruiting and retaining workers from other EU countires?
From an Employers Perspective
According to new in-depth research published by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, the study reveals that 75% of employers felt that European enlargement had been good for business, with migrant workers doing jobs under employment conditions that UK nationals are not prepared to accept.
Employers valued highly qualified migrant workers for low-skilled and low-waged work. They preferred benefiting from what they see as the work ethic and reliability of migrant workers to employing reluctant UK nationals who some described as lazy. Employers recognised that recruitment and retention difficulties were often the result of long, anti-social hours, high physical demands, low pay and status. But they claimed they still found it hard to attract UK workers when pay and non-wage benefits were increased.
Employers that dont currently employ any non UK staff need to see beyond recent immigration hype and media hysteria to tap into the needs of the European Union speaking workers and find mutual economic opportunity.
EU migrants need to made aware of advice services and other formal social services as they may need their help more than they would in their home country because they do not have the extended network of family and long-term family friends to rely upon. Some progressive companies have welfare rights workers to help them apply for national insurance numbers and to signpost to agencies with housing problems etc.
At the moment all migrants can access free English courses but as of September 2007 all EU migrants will have to pay for this privilege unless they are claiming benefits in the UK. Employment agencies have been known to tout for business by offering paid employment and free English lessons in a bid to attract EU workers to come to the UK. I agree with the government on this one, if the employers want English speaking staff, they should pay for it not me! They are getting hard working employees willing to work endless overtime and the nigh shift, the cost of English lessons are a small price to pay.
If immigrant workers are going to be fulfilled, motivated and productive, they need to live their values in the workplace, and feel they are valued and appreciated. They must be involved and experience that their contributions matter. Thus far EU workers may be considered an underdeveloped resource and employers would be wise to reassess their largest capital cost of labour through identifying ways in which these employees can reach their full potential, and thus contribute more effectively to output and profits.

There are many exciting opportunities out there for a law school graduate. Take some time to research all the possibilities and you will find your career path. Here are just a few ways you can utilize your law degree.
Join a law firm. Many graduates join a law firm right after graduation. When starting at a law firm, you are an associate. This is entry-level lawyering.
Being an associate is not unlike completing a residency for a doctor. You will work long hours every week and complete most of the grunt work. You will produce legal documents, write briefs, research for hours and other tedious tasks all in the hopes of climbing the ladder to one day become partner.
Becoming partner is the pinnacle of law firm statuses. As one of the partners, you have a say in what cases your firm takes on and other big decisions. Partners also share the profits of the law firm. Once all expenses have been paid out such as associates’ salaries, the income that is left will be distributed between the partners. The respect of being partner and the high earning potential attracts many law school graduates.
Law graduates who prefer not to deal with the social hierarchy of a law firm may opt to find work in a corporation. This position is called in-house counsel. You are employed by the company and work in the legal department. As in-house counsel you will typically work less hours than at a law firm and your salary will be fixed.
Another career option for lawyers is to work for the government. There are many positions to be found in the government and non-profit sector. You can work as a public defender where you will defend criminal cases. This is higher paid than you might think. You will deal with many interesting cases in this capacity and you will also face much court time.
Another path in government is becoming an assistant district attorney. In this position you will be the prosecutor in criminal cases.
So how do you go about obtaining these positions? The time to start looking for a job as lawyer is in law school. In law school you will intern in different firms. Most firms hire a great percentage of associates from the summer internship pool.
If you’re looking into working for the government, do your homework. There are many different government agencies out there that employ lawyers. Search online at government web sites and find a contact method.
A great way to find job openings is by keeping in touch with your classmates. An old law school friend may be able to recommend you to a law firm or know other lawyers that can direct you to different employers. It’s always good to network.
There are many opportunities out there for someone with a law degree. Don’t ever feel stuck. If you decide that you don’t want to practice law, your degree still qualifies you for many jobs in business management or in the non-profit sector.
