The introduction of the Internet has surprisingly changed our way of life as a society. It has defined the way we do business and the way we correspond. The Internet has opened many opportunities for online trading. The financial industry revolves around the Internet. Every thing is just a few clicks away. This makes online trading most convenient. But there are still investors who prefer the old fashion way of offline trading and they mainly prefer offline trading for security reasons.
Internet has introduced a way for consumers to manage their money online. Not to mention, Internet has transformed the way investment companies operate their business and has made it easy for private investors to gain straight access to a range of different markets and online tools that were at one point only reserved by the use of investment professionals. Consumer investing and online trading has dramatically changed over the last decade. Online trading dynamically continues to be redefined. Services have expanded to include integrated management of additional financial accounts. Not to mention, it has subsequently expanded in conjunction with ground-breaking improvements to the traditional trading interface, such as telephone interface systems.
Of course, online trading has many pros. There are several wonderful reasons to invest online and consider online trading.
1. Money saving opportunities
The amount of money you save depends primarily on the online brokerage firm that you choose. No two firms are the same. There may be different regulations, similar to bank regulations. There are minimum deposits required that must be maintained. As mentioned above, this will depend on the online brokerage firm.
2. Instant online access
You can gain instant access to your account, the value of your portfolio updates immediately before your eyes.
3. Enter online trades at anytime
You can enter online trades at anytime and from anywhere. This is very convenient if you live in a different time zone than the country you are trading in. Not to mention, it is especially fit for investors with busy schedules.
4. With online trading you are in charge
You are in control of your investments. No sales pitches and no hassle. You decide where to invest your money.
Nevertheless, with all the convenience of online trading there are still investors who prefer the old fashion way of offline trading. Offline trading has lost some popularity but it is still the main form of investing. Offline trading offers many benefits as well.
1. The one benefit that an investor appreciates the most is that they are not alone when making investment decisions.
2. There are experienced and professional brokerage companies that handle their investments for them.
3. Investors are not faced with the challenge of making these vital investment decisions; especially, if they do not have the experience necessary to make the appropriate investments.
4. Also, there is someone there to answer any questions that may cause concerns.
Not to mention, with offline trading mistakes are less likely to take place. No one wants to throw their money away or stand by and watch someone else throw their money away. It may be wise to hire a professional to assist you in making the correct investment decisions if you feel you lack the knowledge necessary.

Choosing one’s leaders is an affirmation that the person making the choice has inherent worth.
Linda Chavez
As I glanced at the news, I was reminded of the ugliness of humanity. Do we really need another ethical scandal in America? Bernie Ebbers, WorldComm founder, started a 25-year sentence for an $11 billion account fraud. Likewise, HP had its own embarrassing moment with scandals. Recently, HP decided to keep Board Chairman Dunn after the chairman was discovered wiretapping her board. What are these executives thinking when they conducted these transgressions against their corporations?
Does character count in capitalism? Guinness, a religious authority, explains that contemporary society views character as something that distinguishes an individual; however, biblically, character is viewed as essentially moral. In many cases, character doesnt count in secularism.
Most corporations preach high ethical behavior but are sidetracked morally by the bottom-line. Joyner, author of Leadership Management, argues that outstanding leaders fail unless their lives are underpinned with honor, morality, and character. Under the current model, anything goes. Dont get caught! Any path will do. However, Jesus disagreed in Luke 13: 24 Do all you can to go in by the narrow door! A lot of people will try to get in, but will not be able to.
Dont expect companies to clean themselves up. However, a wave of moral conduct is coming. Maynard and Mehrten, renowned futurists, maintain outside forces will demand high ethics and a moving away of a focus solely on material gain.
Therefore, leader get ready. We are entering this moral revolution.

Many believe that the manufacturing and food processing systems make it nearly impossible for large Corporations to produce healthy foods and drugs, but is this really true and is it fair to condemn our food distribution system? What if they did not exist? How do you feed 5.5 Million in Houston, 13.5 Million in Southern California and 12 million people in NYC? And what about sending food all over the World like we do too?
No not necessarily. The most efficient processes also allow them to make better products for less cost. They might often choose to make crappy products some times to prop up shareholders equity and quarterly profits, but the consumers can also choose not to buy them right? No one is holding a gun to peoples heads making them buy processed foods.
Some will say that in these processed foods and drugs are chemicals, which are indeed toxic. Well, sure there are some chemicals which are not good for the bio-systems in everything from Soft Drinks to Frozen TV Dinners, but also realize that many of these chemicals are needed to prevent disease, spoilage and make them taste right after thawing out and being re-heated.
Processed foods are an issue for human consumption and yes there is junk in lots of it. No one can deny that. Of course other issues include the depleted soil too, pesticides, polluted water for animals and crops. Now also realize that some of these chemicals allow the foods to be insta-frozen, reheated, microwaved, sustain travel time spoilage issues, prevent bacteria, etc. too.
So there is a catch 22 involved also. And in the end we ought to be thankful for the abundance of food available in our nation, even if we abuse this privilege by eating way too much; judging by the chubbiness of the average American. I hope this article propelled thought in 2007.

Shredding has recently become a whole lot more popular. Why is that? In two words: identity theft. Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the U.S. And what is worse for homeowners and small businesses is that, with recent court decisions and legislation, sometimes you can be held at fault along with the thief.
There’s now a law in effect that if you employ even one person, even in the home only, such as a nanny or gardener, you can be held liable if they are subject to identity theft. All that’s needed is for you to have access to their personal information, such as a Social Security number, and fail to properly protect it.
What counts as proper? Shredding, burning and secure disposal.
You’re required to exercise due diligence and shred documents containing important information. Alternatively, you can burn documents. But burning is often illegal outside the home in certain counties, so you have to carry it out in an approved manner. Can you spell Catch-22?
Of course, you always have the option of using a business that specializes in document and information destruction. Whether that’s cost-effective depends on the business’ specific rates and the amount and frequency of your needs. The rates, naturally, vary with quantity, location and several other factors.
Those businesses come in two basic forms: they come to you or you take it to them. Once again, which is better depends on your circumstances.
Until recently security was much tighter at offsite locations. Most mobile document destruction services have overcome that by clever techniques that vary from company to company. Good ones have bonded employees who have gone through background checks.
Both employers and individuals need to take due caution to keep information secure and that can go beyond destruction of paper documents. In the last 10 to 20 years, as both PCs and the Internet became universal, information storage expanded to floppy disks and hard drives to CDs and DVDs and out to servers that the individual doesn’t even control.
Beyond encrypting documents and establishing good password policies, there’s little an individual or small business can do to protect computers they don’t own. But with the popularity of inexpensive CD and DVD burners, files have moved off the hard drive and onto those newer media. Those also need to be secured and sometimes destroyed. Shredders can do that too.
Protect yourself and those who work for you by shredding and using other forms of information destruction. It’s not only the law of the land, it’s also the least expensive form of insurance for what can otherwise be a very costly event.
This article is brought to you by security-shredding.com. If you’re looking for more information about document shredding feel free to visit our website.

The best professional advice!
All of your possibilities from this moment, are located in your own personal expectations. All of your expectations are located in the very personal relationship you have with yourself. The relationship you have with yourself is the relationship you will have with others.
What matters most is how you see yourself! Take very good care of the relationship you have with yourself at all times.
I was a member of Toastmaster International and in 1984 Caroline Sander RN introduced me to the National Speakers Association. I went to all the local chapter meeting and to the National Conventions. The first meeting I attended, I felt a little uneasy about being in this new setting. Billy Arcement came up to me and introduces himself from Donaldsonville Louisiana. Billy knew that I was uneasy about being at this meeting. He said, If you have a dream in your heart long enough, you have what takes to realize that dream.
I never forgot those words.
Ginger Bondi was the president of our local chapter. Ginger was tough love. I listened and took notes of everything other speakers in the chapter said that I must do to convince people to hire my topics. I practice all of these ideas.
I called Ginger Bondi and ask if I could come and speak with her. I told her that I did not want to do anything to hurt the speaking profession. That I wanted to abide by the code of etitics of the National Speakers Association.
I shared with Ginger how I just signed a contract for a speaking engagement in Tampa Florida. This was my first really serious paying engagement. I told her I was nervous that they would find out that I was just a Bicycle Shop Owner. This audience was to executives of the steel industry. Ginger said, Knock it Off, Mike Marino; I want you to go to Tampa and just be yourself! If you go there thinking they are better, you will not do well. If you go there thinking you are better than they are, you will definitely not do well.
You must go to Tampa and be who you are and allow them to be who they are, and you will do just fine. I embraced Gingers advice. I did well and was privilege to speak with many of the other chapters in the steel industry after that.
The next best advice that I received was from Michael Lebouf PhD. I was attending a local chapter meeting of NSA and everyone was sharing what it took to be a full time professional speaker. When it was Dr. Leboufs turn to share he said, Just be good!
If you are good, people will say she is good! He is good!
Rick Phillips sales & staff trainer gave me this advice. Never beat a dead horse! All good things come to an end and then something better begins. Get on a new horse to take you the rest of the way. Forward ever, backwards never!
All of this advice applies to any profession. Keep your dream in your heart. Be yourself, and be good at what you do. Never beat a dead horse. Its over! What are you going to do about it?
The room for improvement is still the greatest room in the world. You can improve on your dreams. You can improve on your relationship with yourself and others. You can improve on your proformance in your profession. You can get a new horse. It does not cost anything to think big. It pays to be good.
All advice translates into the same thing. Take care of yourself. If you want to do twice as much for yourself, your family, your profession, community, take care of yourself twice as much.

There are many parasites of the Business World and they range from Lawyers to Professors to the Bureaucratic Scum of over-regulation. If we could eliminate many of these folks via some new type of high-heat, high-energy Laser Weapon then the business community would be a better place you see?
Some of the Business Professors are so arrogant and assign their students projects in different industries and those student bother businesses for information to do meaningless, crappy and BS papers. Oh the kids think they are all brilliant and a bunch of smarty pants, but they give themselves away by asking the dumbest questions in the World.
The only thing worse than academia is the BS regulators wasting the time of business owners pretending to be industry professionals and buyers, they should all be deported with the illegal aliens to Zimbabwe as farmers, screw em. It is amazing their BS entrapment techniques, playing games and they have never done anything in their lives, never made a payroll or created a single job. Scum of the Earth really, except for lawyers, although sometimes they are both. Death is not an option, but put them to work in Africa as farmers so they can produce something. Make em’ work. HA.
If you are a student then well, good luck on your class project, and re-read this several times, it is probably worth more than your entire MBA class. If you are the Professor assigning such crap, get a life and stop wasting businesses time. If you are regulator go shoot yourself and help humanity. If you are a Lawyer, well you have already been told where to go. Consider all this in 2006.

These are the fundamental steps that lead a business to a path of progress and competitiveness enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of the business. There are 7 steps that are discussed below:
1. Finding the Gaps
It includes the skills and knowledge your company possesses and is a major determinant of your success. In this step you need to identify your strengths, areas needing further study and areas of concern that could seriously affect your ability to stay competitive. Once you are through with this step, you would have access to practicable online information and other references that will help you bridge any knowledge and skill gaps. Filling these gaps will help in making your organization better prepared and to ascertain benefit from valuable information relating to the various management functions.
2. Pre-Planning
Pre-Planning is the process by which the management of an organization foresee its future and develop the necessary measures and operations to achieve the goals of future. It includes development of the purpose, mission, vision, and value statements of the managing teams; communication of these documents and suggestions for improvement, culture survey to create a base against which change can be compared and last but not the least celebrating achievements and learning from mistakes. After Pre-Planning the team needs to formulate strategies and, clearly identify an action plan on which implementation is to be performed. As part of this phase, you will also need to repeat your mission and restate your company’s vision. Although there are many kinds of strategies but in this situation basic strategy should not change much in the short term, whereas sub-strategies can change rapidly in reaction to competitive situations.
3. Financing
Financing plan is developed to increase the business competitiveness through an improved knowledge of the techniques and methods of funding available. Equity and debt are two types of financing available to business. Equity is the money that you put into your business and Debt is what you borrow from others to invest in your business.
4. Involvement of Technology
The businesses are becoming more dependent on technology. By optimizing the use of technology, the business may maintain progress, improve its customer services, and gain a competitive edge over those businesses that are not utilizing their technology. In the modern world the change of information technology has become a vital part in competition with the real world. Now the Question is that why do we use technology in business? The answer is simple that it enhances customer service, can decrease cost, can improve communication, can facilitate research, can increase productivity, efficiency as well as effectiveness in the business.
5. Improvement in Human Resource
Using this resource to its best advantage is a means to maximize the effectiveness of the other entire systems and procedures already in place. The business or an organization having skilled and competitive employees is considered as the most competitive business. Proper human resource management is needed to increase effectiveness in work and to smoothly achieve the goals and accomplish tasks.
6. Marketing strategy
Marketing and related activities in a business, small or large, ensure that your business gets information from its customers, develops and markets the services to satisfy their needs and gets feedback on their satisfaction levels. Marketing acts as an interface between the enterprise and its markets. Marketing can be defined as the function that encompasses most activities between the producer of a good or the supplier of a service and the consumers. It is also a set of business development activities which starts with the consumer from whose needs, the business gets its service ideas and to whom it will sell its services.
7. Process of Quality Assurance
The Process of Quality Assurance in a business refers to planned, and step-by-step activities that determines that testing is being carried out correctly, results are accurate, and mistakes are found and corrected to avoid undesirable outcomes. Quality assurance is a constant set of activities that help the business to ensure that the test results provided are as accurate and reliable as possible. Maintaining quality assurance leads to customer retention, and an image as a competitive business in the minds of clients.
Conclusion
Competition in businesses is now found everywhere and in such a competitive world it is difficult for any new business or start-ups to survive and thrive. Implementation of the above steps can definitely help towards effectively competing in any market.

A few months ago, I was given a bar of soap from a very well know high-end chain store. The person who gave me the soap knew I worked with this type of product and wanted to give something she thought Id like.
I looked at product, liked color and fragrance, put it on a shelf, and honestly forgot about it. The other day, needing a new bar of soap, I found the bar and decided to use it.
Reading the back, it gave the name of the company with their motto, From the Heartland of America. The very next line read, made in Guatemala.
So when, may I ask, did Guatemala become a State?
And, on top of that, once I took the clear wrap off, I was disappointed in the soap itself.
To anyone who has used M&P, you will understand. To all others M&P means Melt & Pour. You go to your local craft store, buy a base, heat it up and pour into molds of choice. Nice way to have decorative soap without the hassle and having lye around the house.
So, this soap looked like someone had used M&P, added color and fragrance. Because it came from this well know chain, I was curious about what the cost was and decided to go to my local mall to check out the price for myself. $8.00 a bar, only one word for that, RIP-Off! OK, so thats two, but whos counting.
Now, please dont get me wrong, Im all for fair trade, but to say the product is from the heartland of America, than have the very next line read Made in., sounds a little false advertising to me.
Company headquarters, yep, in the heartland of America, but Guatemala? Maybe my sense of geography is playing tricks on me. Last time I looked at my map of the world Guatemala was in Central America, or have we annexed it, so that it is a protectorate like Puerto Rico and Guam? If so, then yes, it can then say, Made in America, or for that matter from any region of this great country.
But, maybe Ive read it wrong, they were on two separate lines. Just maybe in my old age, Im beginning to run words together. But to read From the Heartland of American, then to read Made in Guatemala, simply does not ring true.
Producing products outside of the USA, may save companies money by paying less for wages, but why not pass that savings to the consumer. If they can give retiring executives retirement packages worth millions, why not give a little back to the average buyer.
High-end products are nice, but when money is running low, guess I will not be going to the mall for my soap. The best soap Ive used has been made by a friend, the old fashioned way. In fact, my son swears by her Goats Milk Soap.
Since made in .. has become our 53rd state, wonder if I can save money but shopping there?

Corporate Espionage is so great in America that competitors will go to lengths to find out what your company has that makes it so much better than everyone elses. Often they will even go so far as to set up a dummy corporation or LLC and actually go thru the sales process to buy a franchise, sometimes even go thru the purchase process, just to get all the information they need to compete with you, using your proprietary methods.
This is why I came up with a clause in our franchise agreements which helped us in knowing who we are dealing with up front and what their interests really are. Below is one of the clauses we use;
7.16 Other Parties
If Franchisee is a partnership, joint venture, association, corporation, limited liability company or other legal entity, then all persons who have any beneficial interest in the Franchisee must execute this Franchise Agreement where indicated below and be bound jointly and severally by all the terms and provision hereof, and each such execution shall be a condition precedent to the grant by Franchisee of the Franchised Business.

This made it very tough for a competitor to risk giving themselves away or opening them up for unfair business practice criminal investigations or civil lawsuits from us. It is unfortunate that the weaker, underwelming competitors have to cheat and lie just to keep up, but they are sub human and simply unworthy of mention on the evolutionary food chain. I use to feel sorry for them, but then that 15-second period ended, now we play tough, check six and steamroller these losers. Consider this in 2006.

Spare times.Paper and Pen.Losing by a careless button push.Sharing by full openness, the more so the merrier. The greedy dreams will be fulfilled.
Trying to make it,pushes results further away.Being Chinese, success seems unbalanced.Actually once it seemed like the West had all the answers. There is a fear of loss to cheap workers.Yet with the success of a few services that promise that you can kick out the boss, I think most are probably overpaid anyway.
What about visiting your internal self?Much is said of internet Gurus.I wonder whether the word Guru can be applied? I guess apart from seemingly being dishevelled much of the time, they would not spend much time trying to impress anyone.Believe it or not, a (Real?) Guru did chastise my group for charging way too little for our lovely food that we prepared as part of a University Festival.Man what a lovely girl that was whom was the University Student President, and she is now a doctor in some small town somewhere.Peace, and prosperity. This was the Guru’s lesson.I think She gave her life to this and it is paying dividends. No greed fear, nor excessive greed should be the aim.
More creativity is no threat, to be a Guru is to be a teacher, and a Yoga Guru understands and should transcend the whole scene, whether or not it is to prepare food, or discuss things, or what price you might charge for your services.
The Art of War,a book that is from China, recommends looking after possible spies.Looking after means treating them well with openness. Why?
Well you can eat yourself up.I heard one internet Guru advising people to do his course otherwise the Yellow Peril will get you.He points out the lack of jobs ,and this and that.
In Ancient China, even in Old England, you can have lovely loyal people’s heads cut off.Advisors are often leader’s links to reality it seems, and they would not like their position to be at threat. So those whom make a bit of noise because you basically are a loser and barrelling down the wrong road could seem through words or a hesitant face, seem like that Spy.Off with their head.Oh bugger, when you find they were an absolute Gem.Bugger bugger.
In one E book, the advice is given in sometimes colourful language, but the results are profound. Some people are out and out nasty, but how do you sort out the truth?A Guru?Certainly this one does seem to show a outwards display of wealth, and many have utilised his services. Some have even become very rich.
How do you do things when the TV is on,and or your kids want to play video games all the time?
Maybe you do not have to worry what other races are doing or fight them at their own game, and do some of what the Internet Gurus are selling you to do.Get out from under your easy chair, learn to be creative and write things down.Write write write, and when you have been motivated by some Jerk to get things happening then you can lay back and rest, knowing that you have provided some extra culture to the world.Just dont do it for truly negative reasons, bad language is sometimes just a persona.A Way to get you off your lazy so and so Butt.( We call it Arse in our country?)
The Luna New Year has just passed, and times should have been tough in The Year of The Dog.It was more for helping or protesting. But now, it is the Year of the Pig.Chinese say it will lead to much money for everyone.
